| Case against AR Rehaman dismissed |
|
A Chennai lawyer Mohan Raj filed a case against A R Rehaman alleging that he has insulted the national anthem. Rehaman produced an album 'Jana Gana Mna' to commemorate 60 years of Independence. The lawyer complained that the national anthem should be sung in 52 seconds but Rehaman had stretched it to over seven minutes. The song is also being aired on private TV channels all the time. The court however found no merit in the petition and dismissed it. |
