| Balakrishna for rescue of kids with heart ailments |

Yuva Ratna Nandamuri Balakrishna was the chief guest at a function held jointly by 'Hridaya Fundation' and 'Cure A Little Heart'. Speaking at the programme, Balakrishna says, 'All the parts in the human body are equally important to everyone. However, heart is most important for the human life. If heart won't work, the body stops functioning. That is the reason, we should save the children with heart ailments.' Both the organisations had collected over Rs 1 crore donations to undertake surgeries to children with heart problems. Balakrishna assured the organizations that he would bear the expenses for surgeries of five children. Balakrishna fans in the US had extended $1500 for the cause. Later, a programme was arranged with songs of the late NT Rama Rao at the programme. Balakrishna also danced to the tunes and enthralled the audiences. Jayaram Komati, Dr Nagarjuna, R Ponugoti, Veeru Upala, Satish and others participated. |
