| Dr. Rajendra Prasad gets Allu Ramalingaiah award |

The prestigious Allu Ramalingaiah award for the year 2007 was conferred on Dr. Rajendra Prasad in Hyderabad on Sunday. Governor N D Tiwari and Megastar Chiranjeevi were the chief guests at the function. The award is given every year to one outstanding comedian from Indian cinema. Manorama, Brahmanandam and Johnny Lever were the previous recipients of the award. Minister Mandali Buddha Prasad, MP V Hanumantha Rao and Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun, Kota Sreenivasa Rao, Brahmannandam and others attended the function All the speaker lauded the efforts of the late Allu Ramalingaiah. He was not just a great actor but also a good human being. Rajendra Prasad said that he was fortunate in the sense his very first shot in film was with Allu Ramalingaiah. |
