Shakti Kapoor who was the centre of the murkiest of controversy off late is having the last laugh as he is being flooded with film offers. Director Priyadarshan has taken Shakti onboard his film Malamaal Weekly, in which Shakti plays a priest. He plays a positive character who converts Hindus into Christians in a poverty stricken village.
The film is a comedy, where a poor villager wins a lottery prize, and he is not allowed to die, as the money will go out of their hand. The movie also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Rimi Sen, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Arbaaz Khan. The shooting is currently in progress in Madurai.
