Producer Bobby Bedi had arranged an exclusive screening of Ketan Mehta's 'The Rising' for the European, South African and Australian buyers of the film. After the screening all international territories were bought. When Bobby called up Aamir in Mumbai, the distributor who bought the South Africa rights of the film snatched the phone from Bobby and said how he had fallen in love with the epic film.
