'Waqt' has done well even in international level, that filmmaker Vipul Shah has start working on his next project. At the moment he is writing a script. He says, "I am in the process of writing my next script. It's a different genre I'm trying out this time. And also, unlike Aankhen and Waqt, it's not a screen adaptation of any of my plays." According to casting Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar again, he adds, "I am waiting to complete the script, and if the characters suit them and the roles give them enough scope to perform, why not? Amitabh and Akshay are great actors and very important to me. But it's too early to say anything."
