Sonya Jehan, granddaughter of Noor Jehan, made her debut in Akbar Khan's 'Taj Mahal'. "I never wanted to become an actor. In fact, I was studying at the London school of printing, where I was doing a course on surface design. Someone told Akbar Khan about me being the granddaughter of Noor Jehan and he flew down to London to meet me. When he offered me the role of Mumtaz, I refused it, as I wanted to complete my studies first. But then, it was in my destiny to do the role, Akbar Khan waited for me to finish my studies and I eventually ended up doing it," she tells.
