After long time Hema Malini is again set her mind to direct a film, which will star Rekha and her daughter Esha Deol. The film is based on a cultural conflict against the backdrop of classical music. The story is about a relationship between two women from different generations. She has spoken to Rekha, "She's very excited, particularly because she has to enact lots of classical singing scenes in the film. Rekha and I go back a long way. She's my good friend. It'll be challenging to direct her. I feel this film will give her a role that does justice to her acting", Hema says.
