Raj Kumar Santoshi is planning to make Ramayan on big screen at estimated budget of Rs. 80-100 crores. He says, "It won't be just another mythological interpretation of the tale. Ram so far has been depicted as a gentle pliable soul, but frankly he was a man with plenty of guts. He gave up his kingdom for his principles. My film will reflect the Ramayan and its hero as an ageless moral fable." Santoshi and Anjum is scripting jointly. Now he is looking for the right cast. "I need an established Bollywood actor to play India's biggest hero. But I can't have Ram dancing and brawling at disco. Every member of the cast, whether it's Ram, Sita or Ravan will be bound by a contract stipulating their conduct both off and on screen during the filming," he asserts.
