Finally, after awaiting a lot Deepa Mehta's 'Water' ready to release in the year-end. The leading lady of this film Lisa Ray has shifted base to New York. She had researched for her character Kalyani elaborately. She read a book 'Perpetual Mourning' gifted by Deepa, did a workshop with a theatre director Neelam Mansingh and visited Vidhva ashrams in Vrindavan. She received rave reviews for it. "I know the response to my performance in Water has been over whelmingly positive. I have to pinch myself sometimes when I get feedback on the reviews and American critics' responses," she says. In between she have completed another few films. She will not be there to promote the film. She reveals, "I would love to be able to promote the film in India. I miss India."
