Shabana Azmi will be receiving the 'International Gandhi Peace Prize' award at the House of Lords in London. Then she will be delivering the Gandhi Memorial Lecture at the House of Commons. It's special for her because it is in Gandhi's name. Gandhiji espoused non-violence; he was a very tough negotiator, which is she too. She thinks films like 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and 'Rang De Basanti' has come at the right time. These add a spot of sunlight in o much darkness. Her father Kaifi Azmi once said, " When you are working for change you should know that change might not come in your own lifetime but you are reaping the seeds so that someone else cab enjoy it." She believes in this mantra. She says, "My mother Shaukat Azmi told me, 'you have to create time for the things you have to do.' Recreation to us meant just change of work. That's the routine I still follow."
