| IIFT has organized a Fashion Extravaganza to celebrate the 17th year of its establishment |

 | To celebrate the seventeenth year of its establishment, IIFT (International Institute of Fashion Technology) has organized a Fashion Extravaganza at The Grand, Vasant Kunj on 23rd April'07. The students showed their range of talent by creating two distinct looks for the two segments of the show. Working in the fast-paced frenzy of the backstage atmosphere, students quickly transformed the models from a sophisticated classic look to an edgy streetwise.
Presence of top Indian models ignited the required spark for the show. High quality clothes combined with models like Amanpreet Wahi, Barkha Kaul, Anchal Oberoi, Himani Thapa, Ritu Singh and many more good looking models, made the evening truly fashionable. The graduation fashion show was truly a showcase of student work from the IIFT campus.
IIFT was established in 1990 by Mr. Ratnadeep Lal, a leading fashion technologist of India. The seventeen year old Institute is striving to impart knowledge comparable with international standards, provided by a very competent and learned faculty. Also the constant interaction with the garment industry instills in the students the confidence in their own ability to keep up with the competitive industrial world. The Institute functions under the guidance of the Governing Council consisting of nationally eminent celebrities, industrialists and senior government officials. The council is whole heartedly and deeply involved in the growth and development of the institute and its directions help in developing a value system so as to build an informal organizational culture to sustain a high level of education.
IIFT imparts education in Fashion Technology, Interior Designing, Apparel Merchandising, Garment Manufacturing, Fashion Designing, Textile Designing, Jewellery Designing etc. For the last seventeen years over 50,000 students has been trained through 60 worldwide centers. The institute has tied up with more than 500 fashion export houses and buying houses worldwide wherein it's passed out trained professionals are working. IIFT has done various projects for the government of India and various countries like France, Switzerland, Egypt, UK, Mauritious, UAE etc. |
