| The Real Estate Excellence Awards held on May 27 at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi |

 | New Delhi. In order to give the pioneers of Real Estate the merit and acknowledgement they deserve, The Real Estate Excellence Awards were announced on May 27 at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi. REE - 2007 The REE Awards aim to acknowledge individuals, builders, and developers for their meritorious and selfless service in the development of Real Estate. The awards looked to acknowledge builders and developers for their outstanding achievements in developing infrastructure facilities and promoting state of art designs and architecture. In the initial two days of this event, some of the renowned groups of Real Estate developers and builders, famous businessmen, Architects, Interior Designers, and the major Construction houses have shown the USPs of their launched and forthcoming projects. Since Real Estate is directly connected with the people's sentiments and emotions. Developers try to give shape to the dreams of people. To provide good houses for living; building vast, comfortable and entertaining malls; and constructing commercial complexes for corporate are also the job of Real Estate. On the whole, the job of Retail Estate is to provide few relaxing moments of comfort to people in this fast running life of cities because it is a comfortable feeling to know that you stand on your own ground and land is about the only thing that can't fly away.
The selection of winners has been done by a jury of 6 individuals who are pioneers in their respective areas, on the basis of a survey done by the AC Nielson through SMSs and e-mails and after evaluating the nominees' reputation and the work done for the REE Awards - 2007. There were 17 different categories under which the awards were given. In this ceremony before giving away awards to the initial four winners, Pratichi of VIVA Band performed and filled the colours in the ceremony. Payal Rohtagi, a well-known item girl of Bollywood touched the hearts of viewers by her performance after Pratichi. After her performance another four winners were rewarded. A fully funny performance by "Khyali" of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge left smiles on the faces of viewers. After this delighted performance another four winners were rewarded. After this the stage was converted into a ramp where the leading models walked for the fashion show and then the lifetime achievement award was awarded. Renowned actress of Bollywood, Suman Rangnathan performed then to make the atmosphere livelier and another two winners were rewarded. At the end, the famous pop band "Band of Boys" compel the viewers to trip the light fantastic toe on their performance and then after that heart throbbing performance, two winners were rewarded for Best Developer for Commercial and Residential.
REE Awards were conferred to individual builders and developers for their meritorious and selfless services in the development of Real Estate. These types of awards are given to them for not only their good work but also to encourage implementation of strategies for improvement in Real Estate sector. |
