The film, co-starring Cyrus Broacha and Dia Mirza, will be produced by Indian Films. It also marks Kunal Vijaykar’s directorial debut. Boman says that it was not entirely my idea. The details of my character in Fruit And Nut were put together by Kunal and me. We didn’t want to make it completely cosmetic as that would make it unrecognisable. I play a 90- year-old, whimsical man who fancies himself as the king of Mumbai. Kunal has designed all the costumes for the film.Talking about the process of getting the look of the character, he says that it takes me two hours to do the make-up.Removing the make-up is more painful and tedious.Elaborating on the character he says that his character is not a study of old age. Fruit And Nut is a fun film with a comic take on the trivialities of life. About my character, we aim to focus on his eccentricities rather than his age.
