'Julie' tells a story a tycoon, Mihir Shandilya, a multi-millionaire bachelor. Young as Mihir is, he is an icon of a new-age India.
A television channel invites celebrities on their shows, and Mihir Shandilya is interviewed. He talks about his success story and admits that there is a woman in his life to whom he wants to propose marriage. The TV host invites them both, Mihir and his lady love, Julie, on the show.
Mihir, who is abroad on a business trip, wants to marry Julie and expects her to say 'yes' when he returns. Julie, on the other hand, is unnerved by the TV show, but wants to talk about herself when she is interviewed on it. The reason is simple: She wants to confess that she is a prostitude by profession, a fact that Mihir and his family members are unaware of.
Mihir, who had rushed back to be on the show, was amazed that his lover and confessed about her life so publicity and, after his initial indignation, has only one thing to say: "If you truly love, then set you love free, because if it is meant to be, it will come back to you'. Addressing the live audience, he emotionally asks permission to stand next to his wife-to-be, and thereafter implores his entire family, on camera, to let him hold their to-be-daughter-in-law.
Julie has finally found her true love - a man who is willing to stand bu her under any circumtances, with no selfish motive of his own other than his love for her.
