"Kyun! Ho Gaya Na" is a love story revolving around how its two main protagonists Diya Malhotra (Aishwarya Rai) and Arjun Khanna (Vivek Oberoi) meet. Divya has had a rough childhood and has been brought up by a close family friend.
She meets a friend of the Malhotras, Raj Chauhan (Amitabh Bachchan), when she goes to Mumbai where she ends up staying in Arjun's home with his parents -- who are friends of both Raj and the Malhotras.
Standing at the opposite end of the spectrum on many things but closely identifying with their amore for each other, these main protagonists will end up asking, "Kyun, Ho Gaya Na Pyar".
Vivek plays the lovable happy-go-lucky guy next door, 21st century in everything except on the issue of arranged marriage. Like his forefathers, he wants one. Aishwarya likes Vivek but doesn't agree with his old-fashioned views on love.
Samir Karnik makes his directorial debut with this film who is said to bring a fresh outlook on Bollywood films. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film boasts an all-star line up of Bollywood talent.
What's more, Kyon Ho Gaya Na sees the pairing of Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi (star of Company and Saathyia) for the first time.
Music of KHGN is very urban, very contemporary and very classy. Shankar Ehsaan Loy make another giant leap in re-defining the music of today's Bollywood and come up trumps yet again. This is a must for your music collection.
