Paisa Vasool is set on the streets on Mumbai, where Baby (Sushmita Sen) has recently arrived from Delhi. She dreams about becoming one of Bollywood's leading ladies. However since she's actually taller than most actors, she finds herself stuck under the category dancing girl. Meanwhile Maria (Manisha Koirala) has also arrived in town and works in a bakery. She has run away from her nasty husband and has inherited a lovely bungalow. Unfortunately the local underworld are making her life hell.
These two characters meet by chance and instantly become close because they share one common dream. And that is to make lots of money.
The twist in the film comes when both women comes across a robbery in progress. Thinking of making some instant cash, they blackmail the crook. But their idea goes horribly wrong leading to a series of murders and utter confusion. In order to get their own back, both these bright ladies decide to catch the crooks. How they achieve their goal, forms the climax of this hilarious comedy.
Paisa Vasool is different from its counter parts such as Aankhen and Boom. It looks at the same subject in a different light. Not many people know that Manisha Koirala turns producer for the first time with this film. So it would be interesting to see how this Bollywood product turns out, upon its completion.
