Healing powers that science cannot explain and voodoo practices that defy all logic are just some of the instances of Paranormal Activity that beautiful Dr.Gayatri(Bipasha Basu) is busy investigating. Her experiments bring her with her team of fellow scientists from America to India where they encounter the gifted Varun(Sanjay Dutt). Produced by Nitin Manmohan directed by Mani Shankar 'Rudraksh' deals with hidden mental powers and eerie vodoo practices which we hate to discuss.

On her trip to India she meets Varun (Sanjay Dutt) who is gifted by such powers. Varun possesses great healing powers but during Gayatri's unusual experiments, he got swayed by hidden evil power. This dark force is linked to Ravana's legendary Rudraksh. The myth goes that its folds seed sounds that promised to mutate its bearer into a power beyond all reckoning.

After the initial resistance, Varun draws deep into the perils of hidden force. Soon he undertakes the quest which takes him to the Himalayas and ruins of the Ravan's palaces in Lanka. Eventually the things start falling in place. The films also stars Sunil Shetty as Bhuria and Isha Koppikar as his ravishing consort Lali.

RUDRAKASH has story, screenplay, dialogues, editing, SFX supervision and execution by Mani Shankar, music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, lyrics by Sameer, cinematography by T. Surendra Reddy, action by Abbas Ali Moghul, choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant and art direction by Ashok. Hakim's Aalim is the hair stylist.

Not to mince matters Rudraksh only has one track 'Ishq khudai' for the music enthusiasts as for love songs 'Kya dard hai' is also the one to go for. Rest of the tracks composed by different music composers ironically gives no different sound of music. Rudraksh-The power to possess is musically powerless.

It will hit the cinema halls next week.
