Tere Naam is the film that can remake Salman Khan's career. After passing through worst time in personal life, the lovable hero will strike back with Tere Naam .The film, remake of South super hit Sethu, has a lot at stake for him. And interestingly, the film's catch-line is nothing else but, 'unfortunately a true love story.' This is supposedly added only after the film's story was linked with Salman's real life love story with Aishwarya Rai.

Tere Naam is actually a remake of South Indian blockbuster Sethu. The story is about a spontaneous and slightly rowdy young man (Salman Khan) who falls head over heels in love with a simple small town girl (Bhumika Chawla). The object of his affection rarely ventures out of her house unless she's attending college or visiting the market to buy vegetables. Unfortunately she doesn't share the same feelings for her admirer and rejects his advances. The heartbroken boy then goes to the extreme of abducting the girl against her will. After committing the deed, the girl slowly notices a change in personality within the boy and surprises herself by falling in love. However the boy is then attacked by a gang of thugs and ends up in a mental asylum…is this the end of the unlikely love story? Or will they fight against the odds to reunite?

Tere Naam is one of the few films Salman has in her hands in his tough patch of the career. The film's overall narrative is complex and so; one will see two different Salman in it, one with long hair and the other bald. Very few people know that Mahima Chaudhary is an important role in this film and if insiders are to be believed, she is nothing less than a surprise packet in this film. So, watch out for Mahima also.

Bhoomika Chawla, who already has few films to her credit in South, including major hits like Badri and Khushi, will make her debut in Hindi films with Tere Naam. Salman has said about her that she reminded her of Bhagyashree of Maine Pyaar Kiya. Salman had completed the entire dubbing of this film in just two days. Also, he had met with an accident while shooting for this film in Nashik in November last year. But that was a minor accident where his driver had lost control over the car and nothing wrong had happened as both Salman and his driver were escaped unhurt.
