Honey Iranis' directorial debut, an Aari Enterprise presentation - Armaan released this week with two other long time unreleased Haasil and Stumped. People had lots of hope from this film for a terrific team behind the making. Right from producer to director to actors, music and so on.
Armaan is the story of Dr.Sidharth Sinha(Amitabh Bachan) - Dedicated his life to build a hospital. And sacrificed his love for his son, Akash. Armaan is the story of Dr.Akash Sinha(Anil Kapoor)- A respected neuro surgeon, who wants to help realise father's dream, but fate has something else planned for him. Armaan is the story of Dr.Neha Madhur(Gracy Singh)- A Skilled Anesthetist - A woman, who will never let her personal life or emotions, get in the way of her profession. Armaan is the story of Sonia Kapoor(Preity Zinta) - Daughter of the 10th richest man in the world, she has everything she desires, except what she wants most, Love.
The film has a huge star cast including Randhir Kapoor making a comeback after a long break. Acting wise, all the actors have performed well with a special mention of Amitabh who is at his best as ever. Gracy Singh has done a good job after her last debut 'Lagaan'.
On the whole, Armaan, with all its hospital backdrop, bears a striking resemblance to television serial Sanjeevani. It becomes monotonous after a while. It has more class appeal than mass appeal.
