Bhoot

Ram Gopal Varma is now back with his latest flick, Bhoot, which would definitely do something lucrative at the box office upon its release. Varma's movies are considered to be unique and they (movies) manage their uniqueness completely and accurately whenever watched. The distinction of Varma's flicks is that the audience gets glued to the seats till the end. Whether the subject is ordinary or special one, what binds and attracts the audience is his marvelous and first-rate direction. And as is the tradition with Ram Gopal Varma to have fantastic and electric music in his films, he continues this tradition as well energetically here with this upcoming film, Bhoot.

Ajay Devgan does splendidly well as the husband of the possessed woman. He plays his character with maturity and a rare understanding. Urmila Matondkar, as the possessed lady, is superb. Not once going overboard in a demanding and difficult role, Urmila delivers a performance that should win her plaudits. She also looks chic. Nana Patekar is alright as the police inspector. Rekha is effective. Fardeen Khan has a tiny role and is fair. Victor Banerjee makes his presence felt as the doctor. Tanuja is restrained. Seema Biswas does well. Sabir Masani is good as the watchman. Barkha Madan, Amar Talwar, Lalit Marathe and master Akshit lend good support.

A big panel of musicians emerges to arrange tunes for this soundtrack. They include Salim-Sulaiman, Anand Raj Anand, Amar Mohile and new finds Bapi-Tutal. Whereas, a long crew of the lyricists happens to write lyrics for this album. Most of the lyricists are new born. Praveen Bhardwaj, Lalit Marathe, Jaideep Sanhi, Sandeep Nath and Mahathi Praksh clean the dust on their respective pens to write lyrics for the album. Music giant, T-Series fulfills its duty to release the soundtrack, which is laced with 9 numbers in total. The music of the album is ear friendly and has a hearing effect too.

On the whole, Bhoot is, at best, a city film and one for multiplexes and good cinemas with excellent sound system.
